Overlook · Early daily use
A calmer place for your mail.
Overlook is a native Gmail and Google Calendar client for Linux, built in Rust. A focused inbox, a spacious reading pane, and a full calendar bring your mail and plans together, with useful offline access.

Inside Overlook
Room for what matters.
A familiar three-pane workspace keeps folders, conversations, and the message you are reading in view. Focused Inbox helps separate the mail that needs your attention; a composer with saved drafts, attachments, and account signatures gives your replies room to breathe.
Your calendar belongs here too. Switch between Day, Week, Month, and Agenda, create and edit events, respond to invitations, and receive desktop reminders. Light and dark themes, resizable panes, and familiar keyboard shortcuts make the workspace your own.
Mail and events are stored on your device. Read, search, write, and file mail offline; queued changes sync when you reconnect. Overlook connects directly to Google using your own OAuth client. Account tokens stay in the system keyring, and remote images in received mail wait for your permission.

Getting started
Settle in before signing in.
The Linux installer supports Arch / Omarchy packages and source builds on other Linux systems. Overlook opens with a fictional sample mailbox to explore first. To connect your own account, create a Google Cloud project and a desktop OAuth client, enable the Gmail and Google Calendar APIs, then follow the repository’s setup guide.
Overlook is in early daily use on Omarchy. Other desktop environments and screen-reader support still need testing. IMAP/SMTP, POP3, rich-text composition, attachment previews, and Flatpak distribution are planned.
